Would love to see more of these contests through out the year.
Just curious, but is your photo supposed to show up in the gallery after you submit it? Mine was there for a few seconds but I don’t see it any more…
Yes.
As stated on the submission page – above the “Add Photo” link…
NOTE: After submission, photo will be held briefly in moderation for approval.
Who won the photo contest i was not at the event and i cannot find who won anywere
We are working with the polling company to verify data. Stay tuned…
Okay thank you i will.
Who won the photo contest?
when will we know the results? will we be notified who won?
How long will it take to tally all of the votes?
The winner was announced at the event, but apparently not everyone followed the rules so there’s going to be a re-vote: http://www.myeugene.org/2010/06/08/re-vote-to-be-scheduled-for-the-what-is-news-to-you-photo-contest/
I must say… I think it’s ridiculous to have a thumbs down! How sad for those who are proud of their photos. How sad that someone feels the need to be cruel!!! I think you should start all over AGAIN!!!!
We reviewed multiple options for the re-vote and this one seemed to be the best solution based on tracking and verification. Also, the Thumb Up and Thumb Down option provides community members with a system of checks and balances. In addition, the identity of each photo author is anonymous.
I sent my name in, why couldn’t I see my own phiti in the voting section?
I really ment photo.oops. Why wasnt it there? I submitted it, and sent you my name. but its not there, where others vote on it. Why’s that?
This is a great idea to incorporate positive community involvement.
Who has won? I just got home from Japan and was wondering the whole time
Thanks for your inquiry, David. The winner and runner-up have been notified. Once I hear back from them, we will publish the announcement…probably this week.
Hi Rosemarie,
I am sorry your submission was not included, as we did not receive your full name (per Contest Rules) on the original contest entry. As a courtesy, I sent you multiple emails requesting your Full Name (again, a requirement in order to be eligible to enter the contest – per the contest rules). Please see those emails for more information or let me know if you’d like me to resend them to you.
Best regards,
Jaculynn
