[VIDEO] Local group spreads gardens throughout Eugene area; recipients “pay it forward”

by Alex Strack on September 8, 2010

What if you could request and receive a garden in just a few hours? And the labor, consulting, and support was FREE?

So what’s the catch?

You pay for your plants and compost. You also have to volunteer to help create two other gardens.

Victory Gardens for All builds community and charity in the Eugene area by installing gardens and inspiring its recipients, who then “pay it forward.”

For more information, see the video below.

To register for a garden or to volunteer, call 541.653.0149 or visit the Victory Gardens website.
