The next Communities of Color Network (CCN) event, sponsored by Lane County, will be held on Friday, September 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John Serbu Youth Campus main lobby at 2727 MLK Jr. Boulevard in Eugene across from Autzen Stadium.
Community members are welcome to attend and enjoy some good food, music and conversation. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served by the Lane County Youth Services MLK Jr. Culinary Arts program.
The Communities of Color Network (CCN) was started by local community folks of color interested in bringing together people and developing relationships in a social atmosphere.
CCN is held each month in conjunction with First Friday and sponsored by a different partner agency of the Diversity and Human Rights Consortium (DHRC) including: Lane County, the 4J School District, Lane ESD, Bethel, and Springfield School Districts, Eugene Water & Electric Board, Lane Transit District, University of Oregon, Lane Community College and the cities of Springfield and Eugene.
