Do you have a favorite place for celebrations?

Last week, MyEugene asked “Where do you go for dinner when you want to celebrate? And WHY?”

Your responses ranged from affordable and casual to pricey and exotic.

Definitely Cafe Maroc. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere makes it an event, not just a meal.

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit! Great cocktails, great food!

Beppe & Gianni’s, Izumi, Marche, Osteria Sfizio, King Estate, Electric Station, Ambrosia, Adam’s Sustainable Table, Sweet Life

Cafe Maroc – great food and wonderful/exotic atmosphere. Feels like real “night out.” Other fave is Beppe and Gianni’s because of great homemade pastas and the cambozola and roasted garlic appetizer is craveable.

Poppi’s Anatolia! Love the relaxed, informal atmosphere. Plus they have plenty of vegetarian meals. #Eugene

Belly or Red Agave, best food in town

benkearney
Belly, because it is the best restaurant in #Eugene or @kingestate because it is the best restaurant outside Eugene.

Mazzi’s! Great food, great atmosphere. Best meatballs in town and vintage Ms. Pacman if you have to wait.

We love the Humble Beagle! Amazing food and such a cheery, intimate place.

Sweet Basil. Great atmosphere, great service, reasonably priced food and the wife & I love their food.

Olive Garden because it’s gooood. And I can afford unlimited soup salad and breadsticks. Or once in a while their eggplant parmesan

Jayne Valenti Miller Beppe & Gianni’s. And why? Delicious and really feels like a special place.

Crystal Lee Sweet Basil. The setting is really relaxed and the servers are very kind. Plus the food is fabulous :)

What is YOUR favorite restaurant for celebrations?

I love going to The Bier Stein because their sandwiches are the best in Eugene, they can make vegetarian food, the beer is always new and strong and the staff is great! Only downside is that it can get packed very easily.

I love the Rabbit for the creative food and amazing drinks. The presentation at the Chef’s Kitchen is hands down stunning but my favorite, the place my husband and I had our first date, Red Agave!
