TODAY: Envision Eugene workshop to be held at Willamette High School, 6-9 pm

by Jaculynn Peterson on June 23, 2010

EnvisionEugeneA public meeting for Envision Eugene will be held on June 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Willamette High School Cafeteria, 1801 Echo Hollow Road in Eugene.

Envision Eugene, an initiative to collaboratively create a community plan for 2030, is seeking your input for the comprehensive plan and Eugene-specific urban growth boundary (UGB). The goals of this meeting will be to report how public input thus far has shaped the project and to collect additional community feedback on the proposed approaches to managing growth.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about Eugene’s expected population growth for the next twenty years and the land and housing needs that may accompany that growth.

At this meeting, nine concepts – based on feedback, staff research and technical analysis  – for managing growth will be presented. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss each concept at various discussion stations. Workshop materials and comment forms will also be posted on the website.
