Over the weekend, the South University Neighborhood Association’s Fire Hydrant Painting project kicked off at Edison Elementary, where students and their families, University of Oregon students, and other neighborhood residents met to collect painting kits before setting off to decoratively paint the area’s fire hydrants.
The project is a 2010 Neighborhood Matching Grant project funded through City of Eugene’s Neighborhood Services.
