Young Writers Association teams with KLCC-FM to bring youth voices to radio

by Jaculynn Peterson on April 26, 2010

KLCC-2010 Today you can “hear” original writing from Lane County kids and teens on KLCC-FM radio’s “Northwest Passage.”

The new segment, called “Mixed Voices,” airs on 89.7 KLCC-FM on the last Monday of each month between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The program themes for Spring 2010 include: “Ladder” (April 26), “Close” (May 31) and “Escape” (June 28).

To participate in the program, Lane County kids and teens should submit their high-quality submissions to the Young Writers Association (YWA).

YWA, a nonprofit organization, provides Lane County elementary through high school students with interactive, literature-based experiences in workshops, publications, camps, and classrooms.
