Beginning this week, 12 local businesses are donating a percentage of sales on select days to benefit the creation of Eugene’s largest spray water park. See the list of dates and participating businesses below.
Community members are invited to come shop, sip and dine, now through April 15.
In partnership with the City of Eugene, the Eugene Parks Foundation is spearheading the effort to convert all six recently closed Eugene wading pools into interactive spray play areas beginning at Washington Park.
At the end of 2009 all wading pools were closed permanently as a result of changing state health regulations, which mandated an increase in user safety in and around the pools.
About $75,000 more is needed for construction to begin at Washington Park this summer, according to the foundation.
