About MyEugene’s Internship Program – Spring 2010

MyEugene is a popular community-driven news site that features neighborhood stories and events. Currently we are in the process of upgrading the website to enhance usability and better showcase the valuable contributions from the community.

To prepare for this launch, we are developing new content (both written and multi-media) that will include special news stories and community features. We will also launch a PR campaign – complete with promotions and events – to increase community awareness about the site. This will be the focus of the Spring 2010 term internship program.

Unlike the Winter 2010 term (which had 9 openings), we have only 5 openings available for the Spring 2010 term. Preference will be given to the candidates who have either PR or Journalism experience, as well as social media/Web 2.0 savvy.

MyEugene has grown consistently and organically through the use of social media and word-of-mouth since January 2009.
