was honored
to receive an invitation yesterday from the Knight Foundation to join its Citizen News Network (soon to be renamed “Community News Network”).

“We here at J-Lab have come across your site and really like what we see. Please consider joining…Knight Community News Network is a project of J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism. J-Lab helps to seed, support and strengthen community media in the U.S. We are based at American University in Washington, DC,” said Trace Dominguez in an email to MyEugene.

And we, at MyEugene, are particularly pleased that the Community News Network will empower us to better serve our Eugene community.

CLARIFICATION (2/4/10): The invitation came from the J-lab, which is funded solely by the Knight Foundation.
