A number of Eugene organizations are donating some or all of their sales to benefit Haiti. Here are some events occurring this weekend and beyond. If you learn of any others, please feel free to share them below.
Friday’s at Five (Friday, January 22), the business networking group, will host this week’s meeting at Sam’s Place, which will donate 25 percent of purchases to Doctors without Borders. The event will begin at 5 p.m.
Pizza Research Institute (Saturday, January 23) will donate a percentage of its sales to the Eugene-based Haitian Sustainable Development Foundation. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Marist High School (Saturday, January 23) in Eugene is donating all proceeds from its musical play “Once on This Island” (which is set in Haiti). The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Good Earth Home Show (January 22-24) pledges to match every dollar donated on-site at the event (up to $10,000).
Hair Virtuoso (ongoing) in Eugene is donating 100% of its sales resulting from new-client haircuts.
Host2Help.com (ongoing) is a web hosting company that gives one-third of its sales to social causes and one-third to American families in need. For Haiti, the company is now donating 50 percent of all new annual hosting accounts to the Haiti relief fund of the customer’s choice. As of today, there is no expiration date on the charitable offer.
