by Jaculynn Peterson on December 17, 2009

worangetree The final round of leaf collection service in Eugene will begin on December 21. During the first round, the City of Eugene collected more than 13,500 cubic yards of leaves.

Below is the 2009 schedule for the final round of leaf collection.  All dates are subject to change as weather conditions vary.

  • West/Central Eugene – December 21-31
  • North Eugene – December 28-January 7
  • Southeast Eugene – January 4-8
  • Southwest Eugene – January 8-12

Residents should NOT put leaves in bike lanes. If your property is next to an on-street bike lane, call the Public Works Maintenance Division at 541.682.4800 to discuss options for leaf disposal.

You can track the progress of the leaf collection crews online and see which areas have been completed. For more information about Eugene’s leaf program, call 541.682.4800.

Leaf collection crews are the same crews that respond to flooding, snow and ice, windstorms and other Public Works emergencies.
