by Jaculynn Peterson on November 22, 2009

At approximately 5:43 pm today, the Subway Store at 1920 Franklin Boulevard was robbed. The knife-wielding suspect was described as a white male in his late 40s. He wore dark jeans and dark sweatshirt with a red bandana that covered his lower jaw and neck area. Witnesses said his sweatshirt was imprinted with “Oregon” across the front. He was described as 5’8″ to 6’0″ tall and 160-180 pounds. The suspect did not wear gloves and had the hood of his sweatshirt pulled down over his forehead. Store employees observed the suspect had grayish stubble and gray hair.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the store. The employees were unharmed.

The second robbery took place at approximately 8:30 pm this evening at the Adult Shop located at 90 Holeman Alley. The suspect held a knife to the clerk and demanded all the money. The clerk described the male as 6’ to 6’2” with a slim build and facial hair including a moustache and several days of growth on his cheeks. The suspect was wearing a forest green or black University of Oregon sweatshirt with the hood up and a white baseball cap.

The suspect left in an unknown direction of travel from the store with the undisclosed amount of money. The store employee was unharmed.

Eugene Police say this description matches suspect description from the earlier robbery at Subway on Franklin Boulevard.
