Last year’s event raised over $16,000 for the animal shelter.
Greenhill Humane Society will host its third annual “Art for Animals” silent auction on Friday, November 20 from 6:30-9 p.m. at 5th Street Public Market in the former Nike storefront.
More than 300 pieces of fine art and original masterpieces will be up for grabs with all auction proceeds directly benefiting Greenhill’s efforts to help homeless animals.
“Over 200 local artists graciously donated their work to the auction this year, making it the largest selection of art in the event’s three year history,” said Greenhill Community Outreach Coordinator Colleen Kimball. Notable artists including Jan Eliot, Jud Turner and Frank Moro have submitted work for the auction, according to Kimball.
The art selection includes photography, paintings, pottery, garden art, fiber art, metalwork, jewelry and more. “The great thing about ‘Art for Animals’ is that there is something for everyone and in all price ranges,” said Kimball.
Admission to the “Art for Animals” is on a donation basis. Complimentary light hors d’oeuvres, wine and music will be available.
