1. Set outside lights on a timer ![]()
2. Choose LED holiday lights
3. Choose natural design elements (holly boughs, a collection of twigs or branches, pine boughs, acorns, pine cones, etc.)
4. Use inside-out grocery bags for wrapping gifts or use cloth bags, gym bags or purses
5. Turn down the lights; burn sustainable wax candles
6. Cook items at the same time: tonight’s dinner with tomorrow’s quiche
7. Re-gift items you don’t use (espresso maker, clothes with the tags still on, etc.)
8. Make a verbal invitation by calling guests to your gathering
9. Create a family website and post your yearly letter with pictures online
10. Go on a holiday light walking tour; bring cocoa and cookies
