Unemployed? Here’s how you can get up to $300 credit on your electric bill

2w$5bills1 Eugene residents who are unemployed may be eligible to receive up to $300 in bill-payment assistance (in the form of a credit) from the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB).

The “Job Loss Program” is effective now until funding is depleted or September 30, 2010, whichever occurs first.

Certain restrictions apply:

  • Program is available to EWEB customers who are receiving Unemployment Insurance payments.
  • Only the electric portion of the bill is eligible for a bill credit.
  • Eligible candidates must NOT have received EWEB Customer Care low-income assistance or the EWEB jobless benefit since October 1, 2009.
