CLIMATE ACTION: Public meeting about food and agriculture to be held on November 5 from 6-9 pm

wfarmland1a As part of the ongoing development of the Eugene Climate & Energy Action Plan, the second of six public meetings will be held tomorrow, November 5 from 6 to 9 p.m., in the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) community meeting room located at 500 East 4th Avenue.

The interactive meetings are designed to help determine the city’s priorities as they relate to climate change. The topic for this month’s discussion will be “food and agriculture.”

Residents who are interested in addressing climate change and energy challenges specifically regarding food and agriculture are welcome to attend.

Additional meeting topics will include:

  • Land use and Transportation on December 1
  • Consumption and Waste on January 6
  • Health and Social Services on February 4
  • Natural Resources on March 4
