As a result, we compiled our own list of “Favorite Free Things To Do in Eugene” based on your feedback. Thanks to all who provided input (see list of contributors below)!

Thank you for sharing this great list! I just learned about Friday music at Willamette Courtyard and meet_your_maker shows! I’d like to add one more favorite free thing to do in Eugene to the list: Volunteering at Lane County Animals Services and Greenhill Humane Society. Spending time with homeless animals is both rewarding and fun!
Vegiegail’s last blog post..Vegiegail: @meet_your_maker Really looking forward to the July 31st show at PRI!
Heading out to the McKenzie River to enjoy a day of white water rafting.
Walk around town eating fresh blueberries from the farmers market.
Volunteering at FOOD for lane county. Rock out to some righteous tunes with some righteous volunteers, cut up some veggies and help feed an empty stomach. It’s a lot of fun and the people are always so nice.
oh my. we all totally forgot one of the very very very best free things in eugene.. hike up to the top of spencer’s butte. how could i forget that?!?
@mbrooker´s last blog ..systemic racism.
Except… consider visiting the ducks at Alton Baker and not feeding them. Processed foods are thought to be the cause of some serious medical issues among the ducks.
Or maybe feed them duck food?
Angela Harms´s last blog ..this not a homeless ministry
Thanks Angela. Good point. Here’s an article on that topic: http://www.spokesmanreview.com/home/pets/story.asp?ID=92848 as well as a helpful resource about proper “duck care” at a park…
