Local communities discuss public safety with Lane County Sheriff and DA in July and August

PublicMeeting Lane County Sheriff Russ Burger and Lane County District Attorney Alex Gardner are hosting community discussions about public safety in July and August. Meetings will be held from 11:30 am to 1 pm at these locations:

  • Junction City Council Chamber, 680 Greenwood Street on Wednesday, July 15
  • Oakridge City Hall, 48318 East First Street, Oakridge on Thursday July 23
  • McKenzie Bridge Community Center, 54745 McKenzie River Drive on Wednesday, August 19

The sheriff and district attorney are meeting with community members throughout Lane County to raise awareness of challenges and opportunities facing the public safety system, to listen to community concerns, and answer questions from area residents. To date, meetings have been held in Florence, Cottage Grove, Coburg, Santa Clara, Veneta, Junction City, and Creswell.
