Eugene-in-Summer Photo Contest concludes with a winner! [PHOTOS]

by Jaculynn Peterson on July 13, 2009

Summer_Sweet_Life The Eugene-in-Summer Photo Contest, sponsored by MyEugene and hosted on Facebook, ended this weekend after 242 people placed votes  (only one vote per person was allowed) for their favorite photo.

Chelsea Bullock, a Eugene resident and University of Oregon graduate student, received the most votes for her submission “Summer Sweet Life” (pictured above). As the contest winner, Chelsea will receive a $50 iTunes gift card.

In addition to the winning photo, MyEugene is sharing the top-ten photo submissions – which also received a major share of the votes. The top-ten are posted below according to the number of public votes received, with the first photo being the runner up.

Thanks to all who participated in the contest, which garnered a total of 60 entries. Of those, 43 were “complete” (included a photo) contest submissions; however, only 35 submissions were eligible because an Oregon zip code was required.
