Greenhill Humane Society cuts adoption fees on senior pets this weekend to $55

by Jaculynn Peterson on July 9, 2009

OlderDog Greenhill Humane Society is lowering the cost of adoption to $55 for senior pets July 10 through 12.

“At the tender age of six, homeless pets are often considered senior. This label – although often misleading – can significantly decrease their chances of being adopted into a loving home,” said Denise Brittain, community outreach manager at Greenhill.

Brittain explained that older pets come with many advantages such as:

  • adapting easily into most lifestyles.
  • providing a better match for the less-experienced pet owner.
  • having been previously trained.
