MISSING PERSON: Whitaker neighborhood regular was last seen in South Lane County

ThomasDavis Lane County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue – as of the May 29 notification by Springfield Police – is still looking for Thomas S. Davis, who was last seen in the Dorena area of South Lane County while visiting a family member.

Davis is a white male, 5’ 9’ tall and weighs approximately 250 to 300 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Davis was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue-colored “Spiderman” T-shirt, a light-weight jacket and has a small black backpack. Davis also wears a camouflaged baseball cap that has an eagle over an American flag patch on the front. He possibly suffers from mental health and physical issues, including diabetes.

Davis has been known to go camping in the wilderness areas around the community of Dorena and also frequents the Whitaker neighborhood of Eugene.

Call the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541.682.4150 if you have any information regarding this case.

UPDATE as of July 3, 2009: Lane County Sheriff’s Office announced that Davis was found dead in the Dorena area south of Wicks Road on June 25, 2009. The cause of death was determined to be due to hypothermia.
