Eugene Police are investigating a robbery that began early this morning around 3 am, near 14th Avenue and Kincaid Street, when two men approached a female and requested a ride.
On the way to their destination, the woman stopped at a local bank at which time one of the men stuck a hard object in the woman’s back declaring that he had a gun. The men forced the woman to provide them with her personal identification number so that they could withdraw money from her account. The men then demanded that she drive to an additional location where they would again use the automated teller machine to withdraw more money. The men eventually had the woman drop them off in an area of South Eugene. Both suspects fled the car, leaving the victim unharmed.
According to police, both male suspects were described as between the ages of 18- to 21-years-old. One suspect was reported to be Caucasian approximately 5′ 7″ to 5′ 8″ tall and between 170 and 180 pounds. He had blonde hair and may have a round scar on his forehead. At the time of the incident he was seen wearing an orange zip-up hoodie sweatshirt. The second suspect was described as a Native American male approximately 5′ 5″ tall, weighing 150 to 170 pounds, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a red and black jersey style shirt, and a dark knit hat.

Jaculynn, this is such an important story. Thanks so much for reporting it. As a student at UofO I sometimes worry about incidents such as this (more in the fall and winter than now). It’s so sad how under-staffed DPS is and how students sometimes don’t realize the dangers of walking on campus alone.
