PHOTOS: Sweat and sustainability make smoothies taste sweeter [full recipe included]

by Jaculynn Peterson on May 21, 2009

GreenTechnologyNorthwest Community Credit Union (Northwest) was serving free smoothies today at the University of Oregon Annual Bike Faire. In the spirit of the festival, as well as sustainable practices, Northwest created the smoothies using bike-blended technology and served them in compostable cups.

Below the photos, you’ll find the “extra-healthy” Northwest Bike Blender Smoothie Recipe, which was the result of “performing many taste trials to get the recipe just right,” according to Northwest’s Thea Albright
