Sustainable infill housing

by Jaculynn Peterson on April 7, 2009

Sustainable-Infill-House Arbor South Architecture and Construction is building a spec home on Crenshaw, which is near Gillespie Park in Area 4 of Cal Young Neighborhood Association (CYNA). The 1,447 sf house, called theSAGE, is targeted for LEED Platinum status, and will be on the Home Builder’s Tour of Homes in July.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a rating system that is becoming the standard for sustainable buildings; Platinum is the highest rating possible.

The house will be the first single family LEED home in Eugene and only one of a handful of LEED Platinum homes in the State of Oregon.
